Combined experience and expertise in home health, assisted living, and eldercare.
Home by Choice began in 2008 with a vision of providing seniors the assistance that would allow them to remain in the familiar and comfortable environment of their home.
Local owner/operators, John Markham and Sally Dahlem, had over 30 years of experience in assisted living administration, skilled nursing, and other senior-related industries serving the greater Gainesville area. We quickly determined our professional and personal expertise exceeded those who pitched franchise opportunities.
Being locally owned and operated, not a franchise, allows us to place our focus on what is most important: the needs of those we serve. As working owners, we pride ourselves on listening to our clients and reacting to their needs quickly and efficiently. We answer to our clients, families, and our licensing authority (Florida Agency for Health Care Administration), not a corporation.
